Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Liberalized Electricity Market?

The Liberalized Electricity Market Free Contracting Environment (FCE) is the segment of the electricity sector where energy purchase and sale operations are carried out through bilateral contracts with conditions, prices, and volumes freely negotiated between consumers and suppliers.

Starting in 2024, all consumers connected to high voltage (Group A) can migrate. However, high-voltage energy consumers with an individual Contracted Demand below 500 kW must be represented in the CCEE by a retail agent.

The Liberalized Electricity Market (FCE) offers real benefits to consumers, such as:

  • More competitive contract conditions.
  • Reduction in electricity tariffs.
  • Price predictability.
  • Customized contracts tailored to the consumer’s needs.
  • Sustainability using renewable energy sources.

A PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) is a bilateral power contract, where the buyer commits to purchasing a defined energy volume at a fixed price over a specified period.

For companies, a PPA offers a range of benefits:

  • Fixed energy prices: Protection against market volatility, ensuring predictable energy costs.
  • Savings: Generally lower prices compared to the regulated market.
  • Sustainability: The option to contract renewable-certified energy sources.
  • Energy security: Stable long-term energy supply.
  • Flexibility: Various operation and measurement models to meet each consumer’s specific needs.

We seek opportunities and solutions for energy and utility-related issues within companies, aiming to increase efficiency and reduce costs. We offer a free preliminary diagnosis to identify these opportunities. Once identified, we work together to find the best application and negotiate a remuneration model that aligns with the project and the consumer’s culture.
